Kia had only one engine issue during the first year of racing and over the last five years they have experienced success as well. Racing wins and successes are key to establishing a quality automobile and the efforts the car company puts into racing is child’s play compared to the leaps and bounds they make every year with their automotive line they introduce. Kia’s long term goal with racing will be to develop higher classes of sports car racing and developing a grassroots racing scene.
What happens when you have successes in the racing world as well as with your automotive line? You get asked to open a racing school. It is a great way to connect with a segment of young car enthusiasts. Kia is staying mum on the subject but they are hinting that there will be more details on Kia Racing’s next move coming to a future SEMA show. Seeing how far they have come in the past five years in the world of motor sports, I can’t wait to see where they are planning to go next.
